Meetings were held before or after morning worship on Sunday 5 October 2025 at which an opportunity was afforded the congregations to discuss and ask questions about the proposed Union of Carluke: Forest Kirk, Carluke: Kirkton and Law churches.

After this, votes were taken on four matters for which the congregational support was overwhelming.  The breakdown of the voting was as follows:

1.  To accept Rev Dr Elijah Obinna as Minister of the United Charge
(This vote was not held in Forest Kirk as Rev Dr Obinna is already the incumbent here)
