The Parish Grouping Development Group (PGDG), having decided that the Parish Grouping (PG) has now run its course, have begun to wind it up.

Carluke Listeners

The PGDG had previously agreed to assist with funding for training of Carluke Listeners, so it was felt that this was an appropriate use for the remaining funds in the PG bank account.  With the agreement of all members of the PGDG, the bank account was closed and £784.94 was transferred to Forest Kirk to be used towards the cost of training.

Clydesdale Food Bank

The total referrals for 2024 was 2659 (a 3% drop from 2023 total of 2752) wit the total number of people fed in 2024 being 5445 (a drop of 1.7% from 2023 total of 5541).

2024 has been a difficult year in many aspects and the future is still very uncertain.  However, a number of grants have reached successful conclusions so the Food Bank is in a more secure financial situation that they were six months ago.  Despite the welcome reduction in demand, there is still a great need in our community for the Food Bank and your continued support remains vital.
